I
am self-taught in many mediums and my award winning bas-relief, pen and ink, and
pastel portraits are in private and public collections nationwide. The
photograph has changed the way most portraits are painted, but I still enjoy
painting from a combination of private sittings and photos, and have been doing
so since 1985. My love of art centers on classic portraiture, which may or may
not be of a person, in fact, one my most memorable portraits was of a small
monkey who was the life-long companion to a lady who had no family.
