"The portrait was amazing!!!  Rich's family was overjoyed as were the rest of us who came to know him.  The quality of the work you did was second to none.  Thank you for taking the time and putting forth the obvious effort to complete the day for us and provide us with something very special."
Sincerely, Jamie Hart

"Not a day goes by that I do not look at, and enjoy this portrait. This was a once in a life time expense that I would endure, and have found it to be worth every penny spent. There is not a single picture hanging in my house that I enjoy as much as I do this one. Again, after a year of enjoyment, I want to thank you for a wonderful family keep sake."
Sincerely,
Denise C. Canter

"We can not tell you how much we LOVE the portraits of Madison!  As you said, they are more beautiful in person.  Thank you for helping us to make this a most special Christmas gift and hopefully, we will have several more in the near future to order. You are the BEST deal around...that's for sure and you make it so easy. Thanks again, Jerry.  Merry Christmas to you and yours."
Judy Martelli

"I do not have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to tell you how wonderful, fabulous, perfect the portrait of our kids is.  I do not recall ever being so moved and crying so much for joy. Thank you for helping make this a fabulous fifty for me."
Sincerely, Amy Makson

Mrs. Della-Moretta was raised on Mackinac Island, where she grew up working in her mother's gift shop and developing a love for jewelry and the north woods. She and her husband Tom have combined their personal interests in two unique St. Ignace businesses. Mrs. Della-Moretta is the jeweler and the gemologist at The Gold Mine jewelry store in St. Ignace, which she and her husband have owned for more than 20 years. They also own Cabin Fever, a newer venture just a few doors down from Gold Mine on N. State Street. Many practical items in Cabin Fever bear Mrs. Della-Moretta's original artwork; she uses the wood-burning process to create an image - bears and northern woods are favorite subjects -- on wooden furniture, to which she then adds color.

Several years ago, she decided to begin painting canvases, and her original paintings adorn the walls of the family businesses. Bright, modern work abounds at the Gold Mine, including images of the Mackinac Bridge that range from intimate 3x5 oils to much larger originals, rendering of Grand Hotel, freighters, lighthouses, and bright floral work reminiscent of Georgia O'Keefe. Northern nature studies and magnificent birches in golden fall settings reside several doors down at Cabin Fever.
