After raising a
family and retiring as a realtor, interior designer, and business owner,
Nita found that she was able to fulfill her lifelong interest in
painting.....particularly portraits of people and pets, chldren being her
specialty. Her painting style and clarity of detail have made her work well
known in her hometown of Gainesville, Florida with an ever-growing customer
base. Her paintings also hang in private homes around the country....all
due to "word of mouth". She has an unusual ability to capture the "spirit"
of her subjects so that viewers feel they've seen more of that person or pet
than the rest of the world sees.
Nita completed
the TruPaint training course in the summer of 2007 and credits it with
enabling her to complete her paintings creatively and efficiently in a most
reasonable length of time. Photographs submitted by clients or those taken
by her daughter-partner, Wendy Butler, are the sources of her work.
